TO KNOW HIM AND MAKE HIM KNOWN

Our Children's Ministry at FBC is a very exciting and active part of our church family. We believe that children are very special, and that they are important to the life of our church. The mission statement for the children here at FBC is simple: To know Him and make Him known. All of our children's programs revolve around this statement.

Every Sunday at F.B.C. Bolivar from 9-10 a.m. our children meet for Sunday School. This hour of Bible Study is what I considered the foundation of our Children’s Ministry. Through excellent teachers who love Jesus and know the importance of kids growing in their Faith, the Bible is not only taught but applied to children’s daily lives. Also on Sundays during our morning worship service from 10-11 a.m. children will leave the service and attend Children’s church. This is for children 4 years to 5th grade. This time will help provide a separate worship time for kids to worship “kid style” and also so they can learn how to eventually worship in “big church”. In Children’s church we worship through high energy songs, prayer, our offerings and a time of Bible study. Nursery is provided on Sundays for babies under 2 years. TeamKid is seasonal and is on Sunday nights from 6-7 p.m. It is for children 4 years to 5th grade and is a very high energy discipleship program with group games and Bible study. Points are earned for various activities like attendance, having personal quiet times, bringing their bibles and various homework assignments. When team kid is ending for the semester a very fun store night occurs and kids use their points they have earned to buy small toys, candy and other kid friendly items. (It’s like Christmas all over again!) Nursery is also provided for babies 3 and under each Sunday night.

Bible Buddies is for 2nd and 3rd graders and they meet every Monday when Hardeman County Schools are in session. It is from 3:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. in the fellowship hall of F.B.C. Bolivar. In Bible Buddies we learn Basic Bible skills and life application Bible lessons. We learn the Bible through games, skits, music and just plain old fun!

A.B.C. stands for After School Bible Club. It is for 4th and 5th graders and they meet every Tuesday when Hardeman County Schools are in session. It is from 3:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. in the fellowship hall of F.B.C. Bolivar. A.B.C. is slightly more advanced than Bible Buddies and builds on the Bible skills learned in Bible Buddies, but a child does not have to of attended Bible Buddies to join A.B.C. It is also learning the Bible through games, skits, music and just plain old fun!

Our Wednesday night Children’s programs start at 5:45 p.m. and end at 7:15 p.m. These programs consist of Mission Friends for 2 years through kindergarten. It is a fun program that helps our little ones develop a heart for Missions. It teaches the simple facts that Jesus loves them, Jesus loves everyone, and He wants them to tell and show His loves to others. Also on Wednesday night our 1-5th grade boys meet in RA’s or Royal Ambassadors. This program teaches the boys to be representatives of Jesus Christ everywhere they go. They learn the importance of sharing Jesus’ love through various mission projects and witnessing. They also learn about our missionaries all over the world that are sharing the gospel of Jesus. Also once a year, the boys build their own RA racer and have exciting car races. Our 1st-5th grade girls are in GA’s on Wednesday night. This program is Girls in Action for Jesus. They also learn the importance of sharing Jesus’ love everywhere they go and study about full time missionaries all over the world. The girls earn badges every year towards various mission projects. After these badges are earned they are decorated on stylish looking tote bags that they are so proud to show off! Nursery is also provided every Wednesday night for our babies under 2 years.
